April update. Initial certification passed!
about 2 years ago – Fri, Apr 08, 2022 at 11:40:14 PM

Dear backers,

We are happy to report that over the last week our final circuit design passed initial FCC,CE & safety tests with flying colors. We will now send them along to an accredited lab in Hong Kong to conduct final testing for certification applications and then mass produce of circuits can start!

Here are some of the photo from the testings. If the lab slot in Hong Kong can be allocated quickly, we should expect all radio testings & certifications to be done by early May. Production will take a month and all units will start shipping by second week of June.

It has been a long road full of challenges but we are quite positive that we are now only 2 more updates away from delivery!

Please take care, stay safe!

Feb 2022 update, almost there!
about 2 years ago – Sat, Feb 26, 2022 at 09:17:17 PM

Dear backers,

I hope you are all safe and healthy, we have a short and sweet update for you all.

Production status : 90% of the product is already manufactured. Only remaining part is electronics.

The main body, packaging and everything have already been made, here is an unboxing VDO showing all parts and processes being done

2.  Only remaining part to be produced is the smart sensor, which is just this part

3. What happened to the electronics?

The electrical components we pre-ordered and paid for. The only thing holding back final production is the failed FCC/CE certification. The certification process for japan was done first and passed so both us and the certification company (One of the biggest in the world) thought things will be smooth for FCC/CE as well. We actually were preparing to gave order for factory to manufacture the circuits.

However, the FCC for US and CE for EU came back as failed even though it is the same circuit design. We have modified the circuit to be in compliance with FCC/CE as well because even if we get the JP one but failed the FCC/CE. The shipment can't happen.

We also want to make sure that the final product meets the highest international standard so FCC,CE and JP should all pass.

.

The design is now all done, the circuit used for certification will be sent this week, once it passes we can go ahead.

4. What's the timeline now

The digital components are with the factory so we are making sure the redesigned circuit passes certification. This should take 1-1.5 months depending on the queue at the certification lab. Then manufacturing and shipping can start and should take a just 1 month to complete.

We can't apologize and thank you enough for your patience. It is a long road but we are almost at the finish line!

Thank you, Slava Ukraini

January update! Final manufacturing stretch + FCC certifcation snag
over 2 years ago – Sun, Jan 16, 2022 at 06:15:08 PM

Dear Backers,

.

Happy New Year! We hope you have a great 2022 and within the next few months ENYWARE will be there to hack your pandemic posture back to perfection. I would like to update you all on the manufacturing and shipping schedule, there is an issue with electronics we need to inform you about.

.

First, an update on the production, all the non-electronics components (95% of what constitutes ENYWARE) have manufactured, tested and are now waiting at the assembly plant. We have had some challenges before the new year with the power outages in China but that has been resolved.

.

Components for all backer units are now waiting at the assembly plant.

.

Now to the challenge, as you are all aware the pandemic has created a critical shortages in computer chips and electronics. As mentioned in the previous updates we have had to change the ciruit design a few times and spent money securing the parts before they ran out. T

.

oday we can confidently say that we have all the key components secured. However, another issue has came up and put our final assembly on hold. It's the FCC, CE certificaiton testing.

.

The change to the electronics components have caused the redesigned circuit to fail FCC & CE certification. Since this is a very important requirement for import we have decided to make the neccesary changes to the circuit such as adding extra RF shielding resubmitting the component for FCC testing.

.

This has caused a delay of upto 5-8 weeks and we greatly apologize. We could have ordered manufacturing of electronics part using the old design. ENYWARE will still work (Since electronics is just a small aprt of it) but shipping them out to backers without proper FCC, CE certification will likely result in the shipment being stopped at port and none of us want that.

.

Besides, the FCC & CE certification is there for the safety of our backers as well and we can't just "roll with it". It's important that ENYWARE pass all regulation requirements as well

.

We are doing all we can, including engaging independent labs and outside experts in making sure the FCC , CE certification is apassed in one go.

.

Hopefully in the next update the new FCC certification will almost be done and the final assembly date can be pinned down. After that, shipping can happen very quickly.

.

Please take care & stay safe!

December production update. Finishing the fight
over 2 years ago – Mon, Dec 06, 2021 at 05:47:56 PM

Dear backers,

We are very happy to report that the manufacturing is going well. All parts are being manufactured as we speak (Despite the occassional blackouts we still haven't seen lots of unfortunate delays) and final assembly can start within early January. Can't say how grateful we feel to our backers seeing thousands of parts rolling off the production line, we are also very proud to share with you these production photos.

Structure & mechanism production

Fabric production

Armrest production

One challenge we are still having is the electronics, with the component shortages in mind we have already stocked up on essential chipsets but the only thing we have to wait for is the FCC,CE and Telec lab report. Hopefully there won't be much changes required but even if there is the other components can wait at the final assembly plant just fine.

So looking ahead to shipping.

Early December: Final Assembly training with the factory to ensure quality and consistency.

Mid to late December: All components arrive and undergoes inventory & Pre-assembly checks

Early Jan: Final assembly of Enyware for all backers

Mid Feb (Have to take into account Chinese new year): Shipping

The delay in electronics certification might delay this by 1-3 weeks but we will let you know should that happen.

Happy Thanksgiving, Please take care, stay safe!

We will update you all once again after the final assembly takes place.  Please kindly prepare your final delivery address, we will send out an update specifically for this

October update! Happy progress
over 2 years ago – Tue, Oct 26, 2021 at 11:49:38 PM

Dear backers!

Happy October, sorry for the late update but we would like to provide a short but sweet summary of Enyware manufacturing

1. Mass production parts

The first test batch from our mass manufacturing mold has arrived and we are very happy to report that all parts fit perfectly and the finished Enyware unit works exactly as designed. There are small details that still has to be fixed in the mold but they are really minor. We have full confidence that after this minor fix we can go ahead and churn the units out quickly.

A lot of adjustments were made over the past year to ensure wearer's comfort and performance. You can see that the front area has very minimal contact with the user's body (None of those "it goes under the armpit!",or "It will press too hard on a woman's chest! that some backers were worried about a year back) the lumbar has also been extended to better create the "zero stress" posture.

We will have study results from the sports science lab on the impact of Enyware on natural posture soon and we will sahre them in the next update!

2. FCC,CE Mark, Japan Telec standard

All electronics parts have been sent to accredited lab this week. We should get all certifications before end of November

3. Electronics

It can't be all good news unfortunately, we had to do 2 re-design of the circuit boards due to the ongoing global chip shortages. Last week we have finalized on the design using alternative parts that are available in stock but this comes with a few disadvantages. First is that fast charging will not be available although this shouldn't be much of a concern with a 1000mah battery, Second is that we can't get accurate battery level while the unit is being charged.  Three is that this is more expensive than the more advanced chip originaly planeed to be used.

It wasn't easy deciding to go ahead with this design but considering that the chips used in the old design will not be shipped by Texas instrument until February 2023 (That's right 2023!), we decided it's best to honor our commitment to all our backers and ship all pledged Enyware no later than late Dec 2021-Jan 2022 as planned.

We will provide another update nxt week as manufacturin kicks into high gear next month.

Please take care and stay safe!
